HCFB Mentor Me Contest - Featuring Anakin Chan OFFICIAL RULES

1. ELIGIBILITY: There is no obligation to you, monetary or otherwise, for a chance to win.  You must be an active employee in good standing with HC Salon Holdings, Inc. d/b/a Hair Cuttery Family of Brands at the time of entry and at the time the prize is delivered.  Entrants are limited to eligible Salon Professionals, Salon Leaders and Assistant Salon Leaders hired before October 1, 2023 and be in good standing with the company (the “Entrants”). Except for the Entrants, officers, directors, managers, and employees of Sponsor, and each of its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and related companies (collectively the “Sponsor Entities”), as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children), including those of Entrants, and household members of each such person are not eligible to participate.  Sponsor’s computer is the official time keeping device for this Contest.
   
   
2. SPONSOR: HC Salon Holdings, Inc. d/b/a Hair Cuttery Family of Brands is the sponsor (the “Sponsor”). The prize supplier is the Sponsor.  
   
   
3. TIME TO ENTER: A chance to win the prizes in the HCFB Mentor Me Contest – Featuring Anakin Chan (the “Contest”) begins at 12:00:01 a.m. EST on October 16, 2023, and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. EST on April 1, 2024 (the “Entry Period”).
   
   
4. HOW TO ENTER/WIN. Each qualifying Entrant must meet the following conditions to have a chance to win:

Each qualifying Entrant must be at or above the company average for:

• Rebooking % (11% or higher)
• Color % (31% or higher)
• CPR % (7% or higher)

Each qualifying Entrant must submit a portfolio of 5 examples of their work and include:

• Before/After photos
• Consultation Details
• Formulation Details

One (1) winner will be selected by Anakin Chan and Steve Waldman based on creativity, presentation and overall end result of work.  Their decision is final and in their sole and absolute discretion.

5. PRIZES:

One winner will be selected.  Winners will get an all expense paid trip to spend one week in the salon shadowing Anakin Chan and learning from him.  Support and mentorship from Anakin Chan and Steve Waldman in entering the winner’s work into the SEHA (South East Hairstyling Awards).

Winners will be notified on or shortly after April 8, 2024

8. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: Limit of one (1) prize per person. Prizes are non-negotiable and cannot be exchanged for credit or merchandise and may not be extended, transferred or substituted, except that the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value when necessary, as determined at its sole discretion. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the Contest. By entering the Contest, Entrants fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which will be final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest.
   
   
9. NO LIABILITY: Entrants and winners, by their participation in the Contest and/or acceptance of their prize, agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor, the product suppliers, the prize supplier, the Sponsor Entities, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, divisions and affiliates, and each of their employees, directors, officers, representatives, agents, managers, attorneys and advertisers (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claims made by any Entrant, prize winner, or any other third parties, related in any way to the operation of this Contest, as well as any other claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from receipt, acceptance, possession, misuse or use of a prize or participation in any promotion related activity or participation in this Contest. Prize winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, including taxes imposed on his/her income.  Any Entrant will be disqualified from winning a prize if the Sponsor deems, in its sole discretion, that such Entrant interfered with the Contest.  By participating in the Contest you agree that the Sponsor shall be entitled to use your likeness or name in any promotional materials or other advertising without further consent or compensation in perpetuity and each shall have the unlimited right throughout the universe to use such information.
   
   
10. MISCELLANEOUS: Entrants agree to be bound by these rules. Contest rules shall be governed and enforced pursuant to Virginia law, excluding choice of law provisions.  Offer void where prohibited or restricted and subject to federal and state laws.  For the name of the prize winner(s) or a copy of these Official Rules, please email [email protected] and you will be given information on where to send a self-addressed, stamped envelope.  You must do so by April 30, 2024.  Please include in the subject line of the email: “HCFB Mentor Me Contest – Featuring Anakin Chan” (please specify “Winner’s List” or “Rules Request”).
